Second Updated Order Regarding Court Operations Under the Exigent Circumstances Created by the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Pandemic

Yesterday, May 26, 2020, the Supreme Judicial Court issued an updated order determining that the court closure will remain in effect through at least July 1, 2020. All hearings will be conducted virtually, with very limited exceptions. All statutory deadlines and statutes of limitations set to expire between March 17, 2020 and June 30, 2020 are tolled until July 1, 2020. The Court indicates that this will be the last tolling of deadlines, as long as there is not another surge in COVID-19 Cases.
